Having worked in the corporate education field for years as hired guns, it was probably inevitable that we would eventually strike out on our own.

Open Mind Improvisation trains people to communicate better.

We help people collaborate on scenes that are compelling, surprising, touching, joyful - and most of all – human.


We emphasize the fundamentals of improvisation rather than being fast, funny or absurd. We won’t ask you to master a bunch of improv games. Or compete against your classmates. Our approach is founded on a few basic principles:

·  Say Yes to your partner (and yourself). 
   Soft Skills are Hard Science
·  Behave honestly - like a human being, not a cartoon.
·  Don't force things. You--your ideas, experiences, and feelings--are interesting enough.
·  A healthy, productive workforce is what every organization says they want.
