Open Mind Improvisation trains people to create spontaneous theatre. We help actors and non-actors collaborate on scenes that are compelling, surprising, touching, joyful - and most of all – human.

This is not "Whose Line is It Anyway?"

We emphasize the fundamentals of improvisation rather than being fast, funny or absurd. We won’t ask you to master a bunch of improv games. Or compete against your classmates. Our approach is founded on a few basic principles:

·  Say Yes to your partner (and yourself). 
·  Behave honestly - like a human being, not a cartoon.
·  Don't force things. You--your ideas, experiences, and feelings--are already interesting.
·  Good scenes are always the result of  collaboration.

Improv is for everyone. Your age is not an issue with us. You don’t have to be a twenty-something to succeed in our classes. We are accepting of students from ages 15 and up. We love scenes where young and old play well together!
