Open Mind Improvisation is pleased to announce, by popular demand (no, really – people asked us to do this!), our first-ever workshop on directing improvisational theater. It’s called a Coach’s Roundtable. We’re inviting area improv directors or aspiring directors to sit down together as a collaborative community. The session will be led by Dan Sipp, who has directed many groups in a variety of styles and formats for over 20 years. He’ll foster a respectful environment for coaches from various area theaters and different levels of experience to ask questions, discuss challenges and share knowledge. He’ll also share advice and strategies gained from his years with Transactors Improv Company, The iO Theater, the Worx Training Center and his current company, Third Date. 
 
In addition attendees will receive a special offer from Dan to work one-on-one with them in future rehearsals with their group. Dan will shadow coaches to assess what is going well and give constructive advice on what could be done to improve group cohesion and performance.
